Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

"I’m in the OR standing by Anya. I’m leaning over her and stroking her hair. Doctors already began the c-section. Anya and I are scared, but feel that everything is going to be alright. We are looking at each other like never before. And only thin blue curtain separates our current life as a couple and our future life as a family. “You can come out and take a picture!” - said our doctor. I get up and I see her - our daughter. Her eyes are wide opened and she looks straight at me (at least I’ld like to believe that she did). I raise my camera and start pushing the shutter with with my trembling finger.  Moments later we hear our daughter’s first cry..."

Our daughter Ekaterina (or short Katya) is 2 weeks today.

I want to wish to all my friends around the world, my dear clients and everyone else who liked, shared and commented on this page MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR! May 2014 bring you and your families lots of happiness and health, cause everything else you can buy!

Maternity Session with Heidi

I heard couple of times people say that my images are only good because I photograph models, and I say it's not true and try to convince them that most of my clients have no modelling or "being in front of the camera" experience what so ever. Well, in this case it is true. Heidi is a wonderful model who I've worked with before and I was really flattered when she asked me to photograph her at this beautiful stage of her life.

Decor Editorial for Perfect Wedding Magazine + Behind the scenes video.

This is by far one of the biggest productions I had the pleasure of working on in my short photographic career.

When the creative director of Unico Decor Inc. Jason Roy invited me to team up with him to create images for the Fall-Winter issue of Perfect Wedding Magazine, I agreed right away.
The theme of our decor editorial was asian wedding. Of course, being mainly a portrait photographer, I decided to add a little fashion twist to the decor editorial by including a model.

To create these images we teamed up with really amazing wedding vendors in our area. Being part of this project was a truly fantastic experience for me. I've worked with most of the people in our creative team before, so during the photo shoot I had total peace of mind and confidence in their talent and was able to concentrate on the shooting part.

Make sure to check out the behind the scenes video with our interviews.
Hope you enjoy it!

Gisele & Michael. An Intimate Backyard Wedding.

I decided to post an entire wedding album instead of showing only the best spreads. I would like to show to my future couples how a full wedding story unfolds, the flow of the album and how we approach shooting and designing a wedding album in general.
I like to keep my album designs as clean and as simple as possible, avoiding complicated collages which result in a visual mess on a spread.

We really enjoyed working with Gisele and Michael on their wedding day. Due to heavy rain the day before the wedding we decided to cancel the other outdoor location and stay at the house. This gave  us a lot of time for formal portraits. It was really interesting experience for me as a photographer to search for and bring out Gisele and Michael's personalities both as individuals and as a couple.
